Home Surveillance Plus is a home surveillance service for contemporary, demanding users and features a remarkable number of additional possibilities compared to the traditional surveillance service. The running of the system – for example the activation or deactivation of surveillance separately for different rooms – is organised via a smart device, and an image of what is going on at home can be obtained at any time. Just to see with your own eyes that everything is okay.
In addition G4S Home Surveillance Plus offers you complete confidence with the knowledge that you are also offered a security guarantee. This means that if we’re not quick enough to keep your home untouched, we will compensate you for any damage under the security guarantee.

Why do I need Home Surveillance Plus?
You need Home Surveillance Plus so that you know at all times what is going on inside your home – in the case of an alarm you will automatically receive on your computer, tablet or phone an image of the scene registered by a motion sensor with a camera. If you wish, you can take a photo at any other time as well.
Home Surveillance Plus is a surveillance service that has also other possibilities besides a motion sensor with a camera:
- Gas and water leak sensors can be added to the system
- For example an outdoor lighting can be turned on from a distance
- Garage doors can be opened or sauna heating switched on with the same system
The possibilities of Home Surveillance Plus
In the event of an alarm, the camera automatically photographs the scene and sends the images to your smart device. You only need to download the free app ‘My Elas’ from Apple’s App Store or Google Play. Also, you can take a photo of your home at any time to check who is at home, or have a look at what the babysitter or children are doing.
You can connect gas and water leak sensors to Home Surveillance Plus to prevent greater damage. The sensor works even if the system itself is not activated.
The service can be run by iOS and Android-enabled smart devices and also from a PC. For example, while on a business trip you can deactivate the system if your child forgets the code coming home from school and the alarm goes off. If you leave home in a hurry and you are not sure whether you activated the system, you can check this from your phone.
You can connect other home appliances to the system and then activate them by phone or computer. When driving to the country on a Friday, you can already put the heating on or get the sauna warming up from your mobile. You can also operate an electricity-powered garage door or outdoor lighting at a distance.
As the system is directly connected to the G4S server, our technical support team can quickly detect breakdowns. This means that you will not have to call a technician. If you enter your phone number into the surveillance equipment you can call home and communicate with your family through the central unit.

What kind of equipment do I need?
The set of required surveillance equipment depends on various factors, among others the layout of your home, its size and the connections to be used. Once you have decided to join G4S Home Surveillance, our specialists will assist you in choosing the equipment that suits your home’s requirements.

Home Surveillance Plus equipment
The central unit registers all sensor signals and transmits an alarm to the G4S Alarm Response Centre. The central unit has a built-in internal siren and a GSM modem. In the event of a power outage the central unit runs on emergency electrical power.
The keyboard is used to activate and deactivate the surveillance system of the site with a unique code.
The vibration sensor measures vibration (low-frequency sound) in the surrounding environment in order to prevent the breaking of a door/window for the purpose of breaking in.
The siren is activated when the surveillance system registers an alarm. The noise caused by the siren is sufficiently loud to attract the attention of people in the vicinity and makes it impossible for perpetrators to continue their activities unnoticed.
The motion sensor notifies the central unit of movement in the room. A pet-proof motion sensor is also available.
The sensor registers movement in the room and takes a photo of the object causing the alarm. A photo can be ordered at any time. A pet-proof motion sensor is also available.
The gas detector reacts to methane, butane and propane leaks and signals the central unit. The sensor also gives an alert if the system has not been activated.
The magnet sensor signals the central unit when the front door is being opened.
The smoke detector reacts to the appearance of smoke in the room and signals the central unit. The sensor also gives an alert if the system has not been activated.
The siren is activated when the surveillance system registers an alarm. The sound of the siren attracts attention and makes it uncomfortable to do anything in the room.
When joining G4S Home Surveillance, affix ‘G4S valvab’ (Under the surveillance of G4S) stickers everywhere visible from outside – doors, windows and, if necessary, elsewhere. The stickers have a discouraging effect on thieves and help the patrol unit find your home more quickly in the event of an alarm.
The remote control enables long-distance activation and deactivation of the surveillance system. This is a convenient solution for children and elderly people.
The part of the sensor installed on the floor registers water leaks and signals the central unit. The sensor also gives an alert if the system has not been activated.
The sensor reacts to the appearance of carbon monoxide in the room and signals the central unit. The sensor also gives an alert if the system has not been activated.
Why do I need a security guarantee?

The security guarantee provides additional protection in case a thief does indeed decide to intrude on a site under the surveillance of G4S. |

When the alarm goes off the thief has, in the worst case scenario, time to snatch only a few items. However, the thief usually runs off straight away... and right into the hands of the G4S patrol arriving on the site. |

And this is why usually the only damage caused is a broken door lock or window. Nevertheless, this is damage you should not suffer if you have G4S Home Surveillance. And if there is damage, we consider it our duty to compensate it. |
The security guarantee applies in the case of the full service and combined service of G4S Home Surveillance.
With the Security Guarantee:
- there is no excess;
- we compensate the restoration of a home’s interior finishing;
- we compensate contents at reacquisition value;
- we compensate damage within a month, pursuant to guarantee conditions.*
